Summer in Review

Posted Tuesday, July 30, 2013 by Michael Fatigante
Monday, July 29 marks the end of our summer workout schedule. As we move forward into August, players will now be focusing on their fall sports. Our program took major steps forward this summer. Open gym and individual workouts began back in May and they continued throughout the summer. We saw major improvements across the board with inividual and team development. We also had a number of guys working extremely hard in the weight room.  We participated in a team camp at Penn State and had two scrimmages against other teams. All of this hard work WILL pay off come November. However, the thing that impressed the coaching staff the most was the work ethic and culture that we have developed over just a few short months. The majority of our players have committed numerous hours in the gym. In order for us to achieve our potential, we must continue to work hard and we must have this level of COMMITMENT throughout our program. Any players who are not participating in a fall sport should continue to work hard to improve throughout August and into the fall.  Best of luck with your fall sports. We will have a team meeting the first week back to school. GO HIGHLANDERS!!!
